Just back from the Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas.  Lots of drones, drone parts, propulsion systems, payloads, software and services.  That is a mouthful but nothing compared to the eye chart of the current state of the drone market you see here. (It works best when printed on 11”x17”, even then you need a magnifying glass.)  Great work by the people at DRONEII.COM

The market is there, the entrepreneurs are ready, and everybody is waiting… For a couple of key components focused on Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS). 

·       How do I know where you are?

·       How do you know where I am?

·       Am I safe?

Seems simple enough.  But in reality, Not..

So let’s not get off in the weeds, the drone market is ready to explode. Drones are a force multiplier. Emerging needs for Humanitarian support, Cargo, Inspection and Survey are driving this business. 

Whoever does this best will win the day.

To be the best requires state of the art Awareness technology and software in the autopilot space.  It requires state of the art identification technology, and it requires demonstrated safety protocol and equipment.

It is exciting to see everyone circling the wagons, this is when we humans are at our best.  Consolidation is inevitable, funding activity is focused on fast movers.
